Eating Ikura

I love Ikura sushi. It’s my favorite thing to eat whenever I go to Makoto restaurant in Bal Harbor, Miami. After one particularly gluttonous evening where I ate 4 or 5 orders of Ikura, I thought it might be a good idea to find out a little about this food that I am powerless to stop putting into my mouth.

To cut the the chase, here is some of what I discovered. I discovered that the eggs are rich with omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3’s are anti-inflammatory, and are good for your brain and your heart. The next thing I found are these eggs are also full of vitamin B12. I do not eat red meat so it’s good for me to find another source of B12. Now for the however(s). Like all good things, I probably should eat these in moderation as the eggs are a little high in sodium and cholesterol.

Actually, I think that instead of eating these things in moderation I will just find other things I eat that are high in sodium and cholesterol, eat those things less, and continue to eat Ikura MORE. Yes, that is going to be the plan!
